A Church alive with the Spirit of the Lord as He leads us to truth and uses us to the glory of His name. We are committed to achieving our Parish Values:

We are a people who love the Lord Jesus Christ.

We try to be like him in our lives, being sensitive towards others and serving the community in a loving way.

We are committed to bringing people to Christ.

“There’s something special about St Barnabas Church” is a frequent comment by visitors. Is it the sense of the presence of God? Is it the friendliness of the people? Is it the encouraging welcome? Is it the variety of worship styles so that whether a person prefers traditional Anglican worship or a more informal service, lots of singing or  a ‘said’ service  … there’s something of a choice?   St Barnabas Church utilises a contemporary building yet with historical roots going back to 1917?  (“The first service, according to the register, was on 16th December 1917 with 16 present in a modest building, erected ‘according to their means’ at the time. Building work on the new church which could seat 300 commenced in October 1976 and the new church was Dedicated on 17th April 1977”)*   *adapted from pages 8 & 18 of the booklet St Barnabas – The First 80 Years)

If you are looking for a new church family where you’ll feel you can best fit in, try one of our four weekly services, then decide?
